Maruti Suzuki has officially launched its first-ever electric car in India – the Maruti e Vitara – on 2 December 2025. Built in partnership with Toyota (global twin: Toyota Urban Cruiser EV), the e Vitara marks Maruti’s aggressive entry into the electric SUV segment and directly takes on Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and Mahindra BE 6.
