Mahindra Charge_iN Reaches 50 Stations; First HPCL Site Opens on Mumbai–Pune Expressway

Mahindra announced on 24 September 2026 that its Charge_iN network had reached 50 live locations and 200 charging points across India. The distinction between a station and a charging point matters. A station is a location; it may contain several connectors or charging bays. More points can help serve multiple vehicles, but a published network count does not tell a driver whether a particular connector is free or working when they arrive.

Mahindra describes the Charge_iN sites as using 180 kW dual-gun chargers. It says compatible Electric Origin SUVs can charge from 20% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes under standard test conditions. Actual time depends on the car, battery temperature, state of charge and available charger output. What changes for an EV trip?

For someone travelling between Mumbai and Pune, the Sajgaon opening creates another potential planned stop on a busy route. Before leaving, check the charger’s live status, connector compatibility, price, access rules and a backup stop. A charger rated at 180 kW will not automatically deliver 180 kW throughout a charging session; the vehicle and battery control how much power they accept.
